The New York Calligraphers Guild was founded in the Spring of 2021 for several reasons. It began as a resource to help connect calligraphers with people who may be in need of their services and also as a place for calligraphers, letterers and artists alike, to help promote the practice and study of calligraphy.
In addition we hope to help calligraphers easily locate suppliers specifically for their artistic needs, stay up to date on local or regional events and/or workshops and to deepen the understanding of its history and techniques; for anyone who is appreciative of this art form.
Our membership is composed of calligraphers at all levels, from beginners to highly skilled scribes; of which we warmly welcome.
